Cindy Nick realized her calling to teach as a 5th grader. As a former Tyler ISD Secondary Teacher of the Year, nationally award-winning dance instructor and former women’s ministry director, she has been educating, inspiring and mentoring teachers, students and women for the past 40 years. Having both a performing arts and academic background, Cindy has served in leadership on local, state and national boards, conducted workshops, organized conferences, published articles and shared her passion for Jesus with teachers and students both here and abroad. Her claim to fame is having a close-up shot on national television while performing with the Tyler Junior College Apache Belles in the halftime show for Super Bowl XII. Her students have performed for the opening ceremonies of the World’s Fair in Brisbane, Australia and the opening production of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. They have been featured on the Tomorrowland Stage in Disney World, marched in the Presidential Inaugural Parade for George Bush Sr. and participated in numerous national bowl game performances. She is especially proud to be mom to Cameron, a physician and Major in the United States Air Force and Chase, a Graphic Designer at Mentoring Alliance, mother in law to Cassie and Katie and Nana to five amazing grandchildren. Cindy is married to her forever sweetheart, Terry and they are the proud owners of Nick Paint Contractors in Tyler, Texas.
